38 weeks!

Another week down & closer to my due date! Last weeks appointment and this weeks appointment showed no change, apparently Alexis is happy just right where she is! My next appointment is July 11 & if she hasn't come by then, we will start talking induction at 41 weeks! Pray she comes before then because I do not want to be induced! Everything has been pretty normal around here! I had a great birthday dinner out with some friends and had cake at the Hubert's afterwards! I'm really very lucky to have found such an awesome group of friends here! Alexis is the size of a pumpkin this week! Nothing really else to report! See you next week, if she is still hanging in there!

37 weeks!

Well we made it through another week...and another week closer to meeting our sweet girl! I am so ready to meet her, but want her to be completely ready on her own to come...even if that means I feel uncomfortable for longer! I had brunch with a sweet friend, Jennifer, who is also pregnant to start off the week! It was a lot of fun and found a new great restaurant! The rest of the week was filled with work and all normal things! This weekend we finished baby's nursery and deep cleaned the house...the nursery looks great and now only light cleaning to keep up with until her arrival! So happy to get that out of the way! Then we went back to work and our normal routine! We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and hopefully we will have more news then! Baby is said to be the size of a winter melon this week. We will most likely have more next week, but she could come anytime so who knows? Here's some pics to hold you over!

36 weeks!

Another week down, and that means closer to when we can meet our sweet baby girl! Thursday we had a doctors appointment and everything went super! Baby's heartbeat was 135 and she is completely turned and dropped into place...that completely explains the back pain and loads of pressure I was feeling for days! So excited that everything is getting so close! On Friday, we went to dinner with a family I grew up knowing and hadn't seen in so long...it was awesome getting to catch up with them and them getting to meet Roger. The rest of the weekend was housecleaning, organizing and cleaning out the garage, laundry, and packing Alexis' and my hospital bags. Sunday was Fathers Day... I had help from my mom and Roger's mom putting together a, "Daddy's Ultimate Survival Kit", it turned out super cute and he loved it! Then we went to a late lunch! The rest of this week we were back to our normal routine of work! Baby is supposed to be the size of a honeydew this week! More to come next week...if we make it that far!

35 weeks!

Not much has changed this week...just staying busy with work and getting ready for our sweet girls arrival! All her stuff is finally washed and organized, just need to finish up her room this weekend! I have been feeling a lot of pressure and I think the baby is dropping and turning! Can't wait to meet her already! Not really much else to say as it has been pretty uneventful this week! She is as big as a coconut! See you next week!

34 weeks!

Another week down, one less to go before we get to meet baby girl! We stayed busy this week with work and getting the house back in order! My mom, sister, and Caroline left Monday and we were very sad to see them go! They helped me out a lot getting baby stuff together and i always have a great time spending time together. But the next time we see them won't be too far away and we will be very close to meeting Alexis...I am so excited! Thursday was BUNCO night and was a lot of fun! Friday, Roger and I took dinner to our friends, The Swans, who have a new baby boy! He was so cute and little and made me very excited our baby will be here soon! This weekend, we got all Alexis' clothes and accessories washed for the most part, put away and organized, the stroller and car seat put together, her room mostly decorated and organized, all her bottles, cups, and pacifiers cleaned and sterilized! We were busy all weekend, but are getting so close to her arrival we want to make sure everything is ready! Alexis is said to be the size of a butternut squash this week! More to come next week!

33 weeks!

We had such an amazing week! I had my family in and was later joined by Judy and Aunt Beth, who were so sweet to come into town! I had a 3D ultrasound where we got a close up glimpse of baby Alexis, who is beautiful already! And also Saturday we had my baby shower, which was so amazing! I feel so blessed to have been surrounded by the most amazing, loving, and supportive people this week! Life is going great right now! Last Friday, Roger and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary together, it seems like just yesterday we got married, and now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby girl! Being able to see our sweet girl for the first time up close was the most amazing anniversary gift ever! Another sweet thing this week was watching how Roger interacted with our niece, Caroline! It made me fall in love with him all over again watching him with her:) I just know he is going to be the most amazing Dad! Baby was as big as a Durian fruit this week! Now for some pictures!

32 weeks!

We had another great and busy week full of work and time with friends:) I went to a volunteer luncheon on Tuesday and had a great time. My father in law got hurt at work and had to be rushed to the hospital and have surgery. He is now at home recovering and doing great! So happy for that and thankful that my parents were there for them since they knew Roger and I could not be. Roger finished the dresser for Alexis' room and it looks gorgeous!! I am so proud of him and I know Alexis will love it, especially knowing her Daddy did it for her:) Saturday we went to a pig roast at our friend's house and had a great time, a big thank you to the Branas! Sunday we went to a friend's BBQ and hung out at their house and had a great time too! Yesterday we cleaned the whole house and got ready for our visitors: my Mom, sister, and niece...we are enjoying them being here! Alexis was the size of a squash this week! Next week I can update y'all on our ultrasound and my baby shower and maternity pics:) See y'all then!
