31 weeks!

We had a great week, busy but great! It started out on Sunday with a birthday party for a special little girl, Claire! She is the daughter of our very good friends, The Hubert's, who we have been blessed with meeting while stationed in El Paso! We kinda LOVE them! The rest of the week was filled with work, a Hail and Farewell on Thursday, and babysitting on Saturday. We also had a lunch date on Saturday and Roger spent a lot of the weekend working on Alexis' dresser! All he has left to do is stain the top of it, and retouch some of the paint! It's really looking good! We also had a doctors appointment on Friday that went great! Alexis was very active for them and her heartbeat was 150! They said we were both growing on track...I can't believe I'm 8 months pregnant now answer are getting so close to meeting her! She is the size of a pineapple! Talk to y'all next week.

30 weeks!

Another week down and closer to meet our sweet girl! Our maternity picture session went great and I can't wait to see the pics all finished up, thanks so much Erin! The rest of the week has been pretty normal with work, housework, and cooking:) I did have a special dinner date on Wednesday night with some great company and it was really good getting out! We have a busy weekend ahead of us: Silas' birthday party on Friday( our friends' soon to be 4 year old) and then Claire's art birthday party on Sunday (The Hubert's soon to be 5 year old). It should be lots of fun and it will be good to see everybody! Alexis has been very active and especially loves moving around a night...I'm guessing she will be a night owl! She is also the size of a cucumber this week! More to come next week!

29 weeks!

Well this week we have just been settling back in from our trip and getting back in our normal routines! So we've had a lot of nothing going on! The only thing special I did this week was go play Bunco and had lots of fun with a great group of girls. I'll be getting ready this weekend to take maternity pictures on Sunday, so excited and I know Erin will do a great job! Alexis has been enjoying moving around and staying active especially at night! Might as well get used to it:) She is the size of an acorn squash and I have felt her hiccuping! That's all for now, more next week!

28 weeks!

This week was pretty normal other than our fantastic Ruidoso Babymoon/5th Anniversary trip! I can't say enough about how fantastic it was to get away from everyday life and just spend a ton of quality time with my wonderful husband before sweet Alexis comes! We sat on the porch and just watched wildlife and took plenty of nature walks! The pup loves really loved it and they got very spoiled this trip! Ruidoso was a fabulous little quiet town with an old country feel, we had a great time just walking around shopping and trying new places to eat at and just be touristy like! We also just relaxed and spent lots of time with our two furbabies before they have to share their attention with a baby sister! Needless to say a relaxing weekend was very needed and I am so thankful I have such a sweet husband to plan the whole thing! Alexis is the size of an Eggplant:) Posting pics of our trip and I'll be back next week!

27 weeks!

We had a really relaxing week, I was super sick for the majority of it...but happy to say I am feeling much better now! We did go to the doctor and we passed the glucose test with flying colors!! So relieved not to have to do that again:) We heard Alexis' heartbeat and it was in the 140s, the doctor said we were doing great and right on track! We don't go back to the doctor until next month! We are shopping at the outlet mall this weekend and getting everything ready for our Babymoon, we leave on Thursday! I'm so excited and can't wait for our getaway! Time is going by so fast, it won't be much loner until we meet our sweet baby. She is the size of a Rutabaga this week. That's all for now, more next week.

26 weeks!

Can't believe I'm already writing another blog post, meaning another week has past by! I'm happy they are flying by though:) Last weekend, we had a great time at our good friends', The Hubert's house, watching the Final Four and having a shrimp boil:) It was a great taste of home, something that is definitely missed during crawfish season! The next day we went out to eat with some other friends and then went shopping at the mall. The lack of maternity departments we found was so frustrating though, and I definitely can't walk the whole mall like I used to before getting pregnant! The rest of the week was filled with work and work and more work! We have a busy weekend ahead of us too:) Staying busy sure makes the time fly by! Alexis has been kicking up a storm and moving all the time...this week was the first time I was laying down and my belly just jumped:) It was pretty cool....it was also the first time I had an episode of Braxton Hicks, that however was not as cool. And then I took the glucose test, and the rest of the weekend went downhill. I pretty much just stayed in bed for the most part because I was so sick! Just finishing this now on Tuesday, because I felt so awful. I'll post the pics from this week, however I don't have a bump picture because I was so sick! Baby is the size of a head of lettuce! Will update more next week:)

25 weeks!

Yay for another week passing, and being 25 weeks! Time is surely flying by and I am so grateful for that! I am so estatic to getting closer and closer to meeting sweet Alexis! We had a busy week working and celebrating Easter. We actually celebrated Easter with some of family in El Paso whom we hadn't seen in a while! We had a lot of fun, thanks for having us! The rest of the busy week was filled with working and all sorts of other non fun stuff:) But it sure does make the weeks go by soooo fast! I'm also counting down until the end of this month when we get to go on our Babymoon/5th Anniversary trip to Ruidoso!!! Baby has been moving sooo much lately and it is the sweetest feeling ever, even when she does wake me up! I can't wait for Roger to finally be able to feel her move! She is the size of a cauliflower this week, and i am still doing great!

Then some fun pictures of us doing a Mexican tradition, Cascarones (confetti eggs), breaking it over ones head brings good luck!
